What is PRC LERIS?

PRC LERIS refers to the Professional Regulation Commission’s Licensure Examination and Registration Information System in the Philippines. It’s an online platform that facilitates various services for examination, registration, and licensing for professionals.
PRC LERIS is needed when professionals in the Philippines are applying for board examinations, renewing their licenses, or accessing other related services provided by the Professional Regulation Commission.

Through the PRC Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS), you can register for a PRC ID or license, renew your license and apply for the PRC board exam.

It’s easy to sign up for a LERIS account. All you need to do is go to official website (1) PRC ONLINE SERVICES and go to the Register option at the right hand side of your screen. The page also contains the LERIS PRC login page. If you already have a LERIS account, go to the Sign In tab and enter your email address and password.

What is PRC ID?

A PRC ID is an identification card issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines. It serves as official proof of a professional’s licensure and registration, and is necessary for practicing their profession legally in the country. Professionals must renew their PRC ID periodically to maintain their active status.

For example, a nurse or engineer in the Philippines must have a valid PRC ID to legally work in their respective fields. This ID is often required when applying for jobs, signing official documents, or participating in professional associations.

Your PRC ID is quite versatile and recognized as valid identification across various official and financial transactions in the Philippines. It’s handy not only for professional activities but also for general identification purposes like applying for other IDs and services, including transactions with government agencies, banks, and job applications.

What are PRC ID Requirements

• At least 18 to 21 years old

• If a foreigner, you must have a proof of reciprocity between the Philippines and the country you originated from
• Has a college or university degree from an institution recognized by the government
• With good moral character
• Never been convicted of any offense

The Requirements for Obtaining a PRC ID

The requirements for obtaining a PRC ID, also known as a PRC license, typically include the following:

• Passed the Licensure Examination – Proof of passing the relevant professional board exam.
• Application via LERIS – Registration and application must be completed through the PRC’s Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS).
• Personal Information – Submission of detailed personal information including full name, date of birth, and educational background.
• Recent Passport-Sized Photos – Typically two or three photos with a white background.
• Payment of Fees – Applicable fees for registration and ID issuance.
• Oath Form – A duly accomplished and printed oath form from the PRC’s online system.
• Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Units – Required for certain professions at the time of renewal, not necessarily for first-time applicants.
• Community Tax Certificate (Cedula) – May be required at the time of document submission.
• Valid IDs – One or more valid government-issued IDs for identity verification.

PRC Online Registration Process

So, how does the PRC online filing process work? To apply for a PRC ID online you need to sign up for a LERIS account first. You need to have the following before you can create a LERIS account:

Note that you must pass the licensure examination first before you can apply for a PRC ID!

• A valid email address
• A valid mobile number
• Your personal information, including employment details and date of graduation
• Valid ID
• Recent 2×2 ID photo

After registering online, you’ll need to personally submit the following documents during your appointment:

• A printed Oath Form, which you can download from the PRC’s online services (2)
• Two passport-sized photos against a white background, featuring your full name tag
• Two sets of metered documentary stamps
• A Community Tax Certificate, commonly known as a Cedula

Next, go LERIS official website  and register for a LERIS account. Remember to put in your details as indicated in your professional identification card or notice of admission. Once filled out, click Register.

You will be directed to a new page where you will review your information. Afterwards, click the CAPTCHA confirmation button and the Agree/Confirm button.

Log in to your PRC LERIS account using your registered email and password. Check the CAPTCHA box then sign in. Click OK on pop-up pages that will appear.

Fill out the form with your personal information, contact details, family information, education and employment. Attach your valid ID as well. Click Save Information, then upload your photo. You can schedule an appointment for your PRC ID through LERIS.

 

How to Apply for PRC Online Appointment For your ID

• Sign up for a PRC online account.
• Go to the PRC Online Services website and complete your online profile.
• From the drop-down menu, select your preferred PRC branch as your appointment venue, then click Proceed.
• Review the appointment details presented on the page.
• If you’re not available on the date and time set, you can change them by clicking the Reschedule button under the Appointment Details tab. Then, choose your new appointment date and state your reason for the change. Click Confirm.

Pay for the PRC license registration fee. You can pay through:

• BancNet/Land Bank
• GCash or Maya
• PRC – Cashier
• UCPB
• Credit or debit card

After paying, print your oath form. Log in to your PRC online account then go to the Existing Transaction tab. Once your payment has been confirmed, click the Print Document button. Your oath form will be shown on the screen. Print the form. Hooray! Your PRC online application is now complete.

Go to your chosen PRC branch on your appointment date with your requirements. Bring the following documents with you on the date of your appointment:

1. Cedula
2. Printed oath form
3. Two passport-sized photos of you with a white background and your full name tag
4. Two sets of metered documentary stamps

Proceed to the Customer Service section to pay for the documentary stamps then submit your oath form on the specified window. Sign on the Registry sheet, submit your requirements and claim your ID slip.

You can claim your PRC ID on the date indicated on your slip. Give your slip to the claiming window, then receive your ID and certificate of registration.

How To Get your PRC ID in a Branch Office: Step by step

Here are the steps to follow to obtain your PRC card:

• Visit your chosen PRC branch (3) as per your scheduled appointment.
• Head to the Customer Service Center upon arrival.
• Purchase two documentary stamps for your Oath Form and Registration Certificate.
• Present your Oath Form at the specified window.
• Sign the Registry Sheet.
• Submit any additional required documents.
• Collect your ID Claim Slip.
• Return to the same PRC branch on the date specified on your claim slip.
• Participate in the online oath-taking ceremonies.
• Hand in your claim slip to collect your PRC ID and Certification of Registration.
• You will receive your PRC ID on the same day.

How to Receive a PRC card with home Delivery

To get your PRC card delivered to your home, follow these steps:

1. Register and Complete the Application: Use the PRC’s Licensure Examination & Registration Information System (LERIS) to apply for your license and indicate your preference for home delivery during the application process.
2. Select Delivery Option: After passing the licensure exam and completing your application, choose the delivery service option available on the LERIS platform.
3. Pay the Delivery Fee: Complete the payment for the delivery fee as specified on the PRC website or LERIS portal.

Make sure your address details are accurate to avoid any delivery issues. The PRC card will be sent to the address you provided during the application process.

The cost of delivering a PRC card to your home in the Philippines can vary depending on the delivery service used and the specific area where the card is to be delivered. Typically, the PRC partners with a courier service for a fixed fee, which might range from Php 200 to Php 500. However, it’s best to check the current rates directly on the PRC’s official website or through the LERIS system during the application process for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

PRC Online Registration for Board Exam

You can also apply for the PRC licensure exam online through LERIS! However, you are still required to submit physical copies of the required documents on your appointment date.

These are the most common documents that the PRC requires from applicants, although requirements may vary depending on the course.

• Accomplished and printed PRC exam application form
• Original and photocopy of transcript of records with special order, the school seal, date of graduation, and scanned pictures and remarks
• Original and photocopy of NSO or PSA-issued birth certificate
• Original and photocopy of marriage certificate, for married women applicants
• Valid NBI clearance, for first-time takers and repeaters of special licensure exams

Once you’ve compiled these documents, you can now start with the PRC online application for the licensure exam! Here are the steps:

1. Register for a LERIS account on the PRC website and Sign in to your account and complete your profile.
2. Upload your 2×2 ID photo with white background.
3. Choose the licensure exam that you are applying for. Select the exam name, exam type, examination date and place of examination.
4. Schedule your exam date. You can select your preferred PRC branch to submit your application.
5. Pay using your preferred payment method. Accepted payment methods include over-the-counter (PRC-Cashier and UCPB), Landbank online payment, credit or debit card, GCash and PayMaya.
6. Print your exam application form.
7. Go to the PRC branch on the date and time of your examination. Upon arrival, pay for the documentary stamp, then have your requirements evaluated. You will be given a permanent examination & registration record card (PERRC).
8. After that you have to pay ₱30 per piece of a metered mailing envelope which you will submit together with your application form and other requirements at the issuance office.
9. You will be given a notice of admission with the program of examination and metered mailing envelope.
10. To check where you’ll be taking your exam, check the PRC website two to three days before your exam date.

Steps when you Lose or Replace your PRC ID

If you unfortunately lost your PRC ID, here is what you need to submit:

• Affidavit of loss
• Printed application form
• 1 passport-size photo in a white background with your name tag
• For authorized representatives: special power of attorney and valid ID

How to get your PRC ID replaced:

• Go to the PRC Online Services website and log in to your account.
• Print the application form and select your application date and preferred PRC branch.
• Go to your PRC branch and submit the requirements.
• Pay the ₱250 application fee.
• Wait for your replacement ID to be released.
